Free FAT CAT Pattern
Body
This cat pattern is 2 pieces. You will need to use some tape and put her tail in place before cutting. Pin your pattern to doubled muslin and cut and sew. Make sure you put a small hole on the back of the kitty's head and also one on the front of the kitty's body (before sewing them shut). See pattern for diagram. This is where you will stuff the doll and this is where you attach the head of the kitty. You can always put a bow around the neck if you please. For her paws I just took some embroidery thread and started from the bottom of the paw with my needle I then come up through the middle of her paw and then go to the left and then insert needle again at the bottom (now pulling tight on the thread) I then do this again 2 more times. One to the left and then the bottom. I then KNOT twice under her paw.
Face
Using the template provided on the pattern, trace the facial features onto kitty with black embroidery thread.
If you choose to paint her just make little triangles all over her body and face. You can use different colors. Try a Mustard Kitty!!
Tea/Coffee Stain:
You need to tea stain after the doll is DONE. I use 1 / 4 cup of instant tea with 2 cups of hot hot water. And put in a spray bottle and spray all areas of doll body.
Items needed to make this pattern:
Muslin – 1/2 yard
