Christmas Tree Ornie Pattern 2007

This is an easy pattern to do. I am sure with your creativity you could even spruce it up a bit. All you will need to do is cut out the pattern piece that I have provided.

You will need to take your pattern piece and pin it to two pieces of muslin then cut. Sew All the way around and leave an opening near the bottom of the trunk to stuff.

Stuff thru the hole and then sew close. Take some thread and sew on buttons with scraps of fabric. I used my fancy shears to make them all squiggle cut. I then stained my tree. Then you can take some homespun wool (or doll hair or yarn) and wrap around the bottom of the tree. For the bottom just use a bit of glue to secure the bottom of the tree trunk with the wool or yarn.  I used modge podge glue because I know it dries clear. I just covered the whole trunk of the tree with glue and then wrapped the yarn around the trunk. Wait to dry and you then can hang strings on them or place them in a wood box or bowl and mix with other ornies.
